The Independent Power Generators Ghana has refuted the government's claim of reaching an agreement with them to restructure their debt.
According to the CEO, Dr. Elikplim Kwabla Apetorgbor, no agreement has been reached since the last meeting in April 2024. He described the Finance Minister's statement as misleading and inaccurate.
Only two IPPs, CenPower and Amandi, have accepted the government's proposal, while the others rejected it.
The IPPs remain committed to finding a mutually beneficial resolution through constructive dialogue.
