Deputy IGP appointment: I see a grand conspiracy ahead of 2024 election – Ablakwa

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, NDC MP, has questioned the timing of the appointment of COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno as Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations, citing a potential plot to influence the 2024 election.

He noted that the Police Council, chaired by Vice President Bawumia, advised on the appointment, raising concerns about impartiality.

Ablakwa suspects a conspiracy to remove the current IGP and install a more favorable candidate, echoing concerns about electoral manipulation.
