Presidential aspirant of National Democratic Congress (NDC) for election 2020, Goosie Tanoh, has asked party delegates to consider a candidate with a track record for truth, and one who will unite all and seek the fundamental welfare of the people.
He was at the La-Dadekotopong constituency as part of his Greater Accra Regional tour ahead of NDC’s presidential primaries.
He appealed to delegates not sell their votes because of a small amount of money and items they would be given.
“Do not vote for someone because you’ve been given GHc 200 or GHc50 because you may vote for the person based on the money you were given and not track record. You may stock your room with the money you’ve been given or stock your room with bags of rice given to you by some individuals to vote for a particular candidate but the items will not last forever. You will then call the person on phone and he will pretend as if he does not know you and drop the line on you. So vote wisely, vote Goodie Tanoh to bring you jobs, food security universal affordable healthcare, social housing and policies that would improve your living condition.”
He further asked the delegates to vote with their next generation in mind in order to have someone whose policies will not only benefit the generation today but those that will come after the current generation.
He stressed on the need for delegates to reject people who will come and influence them with money and material things.
Such individuals he opined have no vision but only capitalising on the money they induced the delegates with to get the opportunity to represent the party.
