Don’t take Afrobarometer report for granted – Edem Senanu to politicians

Anti-Corruption Campaigner Edem Senanu has urged political parties to heed Afrobarometer's latest report, which shows 87% of Ghanaians believe the country is on the wrong track.

The report highlights a decline in satisfaction with democracy in Ghana, dropping from 74% in 2011/2013 to 51% in 2021/2023.

Senanu warned that youth disinterest in democracy poses a threat to its future. He emphasizes the importance of addressing the report's findings, highlighting the significant fall in confidence in democracy and the high level of corruption.

Senanu called on political parties and the government to respond and correct the narrative.
