EC gets WANEO’s praise for transparency and inclusivity ahead of 2024 elections

The West Africa Network of Election Observers (WANEO) has praised the Electoral Commission of Ghana (EC) for its commitment to transparency and inclusivity in preparing for the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

In a statement, WANEO highlighted the EC's efforts to engage stakeholders, including political parties and civil society, in creating a credible voters register.

They also commended the EC for aligning with international democratic standards, which enhances public trust in the electoral process.

WANEO called on all stakeholders, including the judiciary and security agencies, to support the EC in ensuring a peaceful and credible election, reaffirming their commitment to uphold democracy in Ghana.
