The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to apologize for what they describe as a "bloated" voter register, which they believe could compromise the integrity of upcoming elections and disenfranchise voters.
The EC admitted to an error in the Ejumako-Enyan-Esiam constituency's voter register, where voter transfer lists from 2020 and 2023 were mistakenly included, inflating the numbers.
NDC's Deputy Director of Elections and IT, Dr. Tanko Rashid-Computer, expressed distrust in the EC's internal investigation and called for an external audit, reiterating the need for an apology.
