EC releases provisional voter register to political parties

The Electoral Commission (EC) has released the provisional voter register to political parties ahead of the voter register exhibition from August 20 to 27, 2024.

This comes after pressure from political parties and stakeholders demanding access to the register.

At a press conference, Deputy Electoral Commissioner Dr. Bossman Asare clarified that the EC is within its scheduled timeframe, as per regulations, to provide the register.

The EC confirmed that the voter register exhibition will proceed as planned, with parties like the NDC already collecting their copies of the register.
