Education must be politicised but focus on quality, vocational training – NAPO

Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP vice-presidential candidate and former Education Minister, has rejected calls to depoliticize Ghana's education sector, emphasizing that the real focus should be on improving educational quality.

Speaking at the 57th NUGS Congress at KNUST, he argued that politicizing education is inevitable and not unique to Ghana.

Instead, resources and infrastructure should be prioritized to enhance education, especially in technical and vocational training.

He also noted that a small group of dedicated individuals can significantly impact the country's development, countering the idea that large numbers are required for change.
