Eid-ul-Adha: Mahama appeals for prayers to win December polls

John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, has extended his best wishes to Muslims across Ghana celebrating Eid-ul-Adha.

Eid-ul-Adha, commemorating Prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail before Allah replaced him with a ram, is a festival of sacrifice.

In his Eid Mubarak message, Mr. Mahama urged Muslims to show compassion to family, the needy, and orphans.

He also sent heartfelt wishes to Chief Imam Sheik Osman Nuhu Sharubutu and sought the Muslim community's prayers for the upcoming December elections, expressing hopes for Allah's blessings, peace for Ghana, and electoral success.
