Election 2024: Be guided by Kenya’s disturbances – Bagbin to govt

Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin has warned Ghanaian leaders to heed the recent political turmoil in Kenya as a cautionary tale ahead of Ghana's December 7 elections.

He stressed the importance of ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections and has reached out to key stakeholders, including the Electoral Commission, the National Commission for Civic Education, traditional authorities, and the Chief Justice.

Bagbin plans to engage with President Akufo-Addo to promote a violence-free electoral process, emphasizing the need for preemptive measures to protect Ghana’s democracy.
