The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged heightened security measures ahead of Ghana’s December 7 elections, citing intelligence of plans to incite violence, particularly in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking at a police briefing on election preparedness, NPP General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua emphasized the need for proactive steps to ensure peaceful polls.

Kodua stressed that no one should be above the law and urged the police to uphold peace and order.

The NPP’s appeal aligns with national efforts to safeguard the electoral process and prevent disruptions.
