Election 2024: Don’t certify registration of PNP – PNC to EC

The People’s National Convention (PNC) has urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to withhold the final registration certificate for the newly formed People’s National Party (PNP).

The PNC's solicitors argue that the similarity in names and the use of the palm nut tree emblem could confuse voters, as the PNP is seen as the predecessor of the PNC and shares former executives.
