Election 2024: EC’s plan to commence printing of ballot papers was rejected – NDC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has raised doubts about the Electoral Commission's (EC) ability to begin printing notice of poll and ballot papers as scheduled.

This follows the EC’s failure to provide crucial details about the voter register, which political parties need to properly oversee the printing process.

After a meeting with the EC, Dr. Rashid Tanko Computer, the NDC’s Deputy Director of IT and Elections, stated that political parties agreed the printing should not proceed until the total number of ballots and printing ratios are disclosed.

He emphasized the need for party leadership to verify these details, not just agents at printing houses.
