Alan Kyerematen, Founder and Leader of the Movement for Change, has attributed the Ghana Cedi's depreciation to systemic failures and economic distrust.
He suggests that without boosting exports and reducing imports, the Cedi's value will continue to fall. During his Eastern Region tour, Kyerematen proposed regulating forex bureaus and enhancing exports to stabilise the Cedi.
He criticised the lack of long-term economic strategy from past leaders and emphasised the need for a national development plan over unfulfilled manifesto promises.
He advocated for significant constitutional reform and continuity in government projects, moving beyond the "winner-takes-all" approach of current political parties.
