Election 2024: Mahama not seeking support from Russian govt – Campaign Team

The Mahama Campaign Team has strongly criticized Asaase Radio and Daily Guide for allegedly publishing false claims that John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, sought Russian government support for the December polls.

Asaase Radio reported that Mahama visited Russia under the pretext of launching a Russian version of his autobiography, "My First Coup D’etat."

Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Mahama's spokesperson, refuted the publication, calling it "shadowy and unethical journalism."

She clarified that Mahama was in Russia to launch the Russian translation of his memoir at the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Campaign Team urged Ghanaians to disregard the false allegations.
