John Dramani Mahama, the NDC flag bearer, has promised to reduce the cost of Hajj if elected President in 2024.
He described the current fare of GH¢75,000 as expensive and exclusive, making it difficult for ordinary Muslims to fulfill their pilgrimage.
Mahama made this commitment during Eid prayers with the Ahlussuna Wal-Jamah Muslim group at the State House in Accra.
He expressed his desire to make Hajj more accessible to all and also emphasized the importance of appreciating fathers' efforts amidst economic hardships.
