Election 2024: NAPO widely preferred among NPP members to partner Bawumia – NIB

A survey conducted by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) among New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives has revealed that Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) is the preferred choice for running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 elections, with 76.27% support.

The Minister of Energy and MP for Manhyia South is followed by Yaw Osei Adutwum (10.16%), Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu (3.38%), Frema Osei-Opare (3.34%), and Joseph Osei-Owusu (2.27%).

The survey suggested NAPO's popularity and grassroots connections make him a unifying choice, particularly in the Ashanti region, a key NPP stronghold.
