Election 2024: NPP rejects NDC allegations of attempting to block GFP’s ballot re-entry

The Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Haruna Mohammed, says the party is unconcerned with its position on the 2024 presidential ballot, focusing instead on ensuring Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s victory.

Speaking on JoyFM, he dismissed accusations from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the NPP is blocking the Ghana Freedom Party’s (GFP) re-entry to manipulate ballot positions.

He emphasized that the NDC has no proof to support this claim, urging them to avoid unsubstantiated allegations. Meanwhile, the GFP faces internal conflict, with factions disagreeing over whether to stay in the race following founder Akua Donkor’s passing.
