Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong has urged NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia to sign a peace pact ahead of the December elections.
Mr. Nketia has set conditions for signing, citing the ineffectiveness of past pacts and concerns over unresolved violence from the 2020 elections.
He emphasized that recommendations from the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election investigation should be implemented first.
Rev. Dr. Opuni-Frimpong appealed for a commitment to peace, stressing that democracy requires accepting election results and using legal means to address disputes, avoiding street protests.
