Former Majority Leader and Suame MP, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, has warned of the risks of delaying Ghana’s lithium agreement, emphasizing that lithium resources are finite.
Speaking in Parliament, he urged lawmakers to expedite the agreement's passage, highlighting the growing global demand for lithium, essential for electric vehicles and renewable energy.
He cautioned that if action isn't taken soon, Ghana’s lithium assets could become stranded and lose value.
However, he also advised a cautious approach to ensure the resource is managed wisely.
