Lawyer Edwin Edudzi Tamakloe, Director of Legal Affairs for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on President Akufo-Addo to apologise to Ghanaians for what he describes as poor governance over the past eight years.
Speaking on TV3’s NewDay, Edudzi lamented the cedi's steep depreciation, which has drastically reduced the value of GH₵1 million from $250,000 in 2016 to just $65,000 today.
He highlighted the financial strain this has caused, including a fourfold increase in the cost of diabetic medication, leading to deaths among patients unable to afford treatment.
He also criticised the government for prioritising the National Cathedral project, alleging $53 million meant for development was used to "dig a hole."
Edudzi questioned the administration’s decisions, accusing it of neglecting citizens' welfare.
