Dr. Gideon Boako, spokesperson for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has dismissed claims that dissatisfaction with the government is driving Ghanaians to emigrate, labeling such assertions as "dishonest."

In an interview on Citi FM's Eyewitness News, Dr. Boako addressed the perception that many Ghanaians are leaving the country due to disillusionment.

He argued these claims are baseless and misrepresent the situation, noting that increased travel for cross-border trade and other purposes should be viewed positively.

Dr. Boako emphasized that travel for business, education, and holidays reflects a growing trend in cross-border trade, not hopelessness or hardship.
