The Convention People's Party (CPP) has criticized Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh's claim that President Nana Akufo-Addo's achievements surpass those of Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

During his unveiling as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) running mate, Prempeh's statement drew widespread backlash, with many accusing him of distorting history.

CPP's Political Affairs Chairman, Kwame Jantuah, challenged the comparison, highlighting Nkrumah's unparalleled contributions, including Ghana's independence and landmark achievements.

He urged Prempeh to focus on substantial campaign issues rather than unfounded propaganda.
