Hassan Ayariga and 12 others were disqualified last week by the Electoral Commission for failing to meet the requirements in CI 94, the instrument governing this year's polls. While some of the disqualified aspirants are seeking legal redress on the matter, the APC flagbearer chose to proceed with a scheduled campaign launch in the capital Accra.
During a presentation to his supporters, a rather confident Hassan Ayariga said the APC was ready to wrestle power from the governing NDC.
Like previous instances where the candidates of the two leading parties signed off their presentations with songs from Dancehall act Shatta Wale, Hassan Ayariga in like manner chose to dance to 'Kakai' as he was continuously cheered by the crowd.
