I acquired a gun to protect myself against Hawa Koomson – Phillis Okunor

Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Awutu Senya East, has revealed she acquired a gun for self-defense against Hawa Koomson, the current MP, citing threats during the 2020 elections.

Okunor stated that despite Koomson's alleged threats, no police action was taken.

She denied involvement in recent violence in Kasoa, where she was arrested alongside two others for unlawful possession of a firearm.

Okunor's disclosure underscores the heightened tensions in the constituency ahead of the upcoming elections.
