National Democratic Congress(NDC) Member of Parliament(MP) for Yapei-Kusawgu and former Deputy Power Minister John Abdulai Jinapor has revealed that for three months, he was not in talking terms with his younger brother, Samuel Abu Jinapor, a staunch member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and current Deputy Chief of Staff, because of their political differences.

Speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM on Friday February 21, 2020 monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Mr John Jinapor stated that ever since that incident that saw tempers flare up, he and his brother have resolved to not discuss politics when they meet.

“Sometimes we meet and talk, just that we avoid something – politics – because it created a problem: for about three months we didn’t speak to each other. It creates lots of problems…So since then, I just decided that I can’t change him and he can’t change me [so we don’t talk politics anymore],” he revealed on the show.

Mr John Jinapor added that as a member of the NDC, he supports the NDC candidate in the Damongo Constituency Adam Mutawakilu where his brother is also competing on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

According to him, he does not believe in the ideology of the NPP and will therefore not even think of supporting his brother in his bid considering the fact he once openly campaigned against him at a platform in Buipe.
