I didn’t bribe NDC MPs with slots into security agencies – Interior Minister

Interior Minister Henry Quartey has denied accusations that he tried to bribe opposition MPs by offering recruitment slots for their constituents into the security services.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the NDC, claimed that Quartey was attempting to influence MPs who opposed the recruitment of NDC foot soldiers into the police force.

Quartey clarified on Joy News' PM Express that he simply informed MPs about open recruitment portals and encouraged constituents to apply.

He insisted that his actions were intended as a goodwill gesture and not as a bribe.
