I disagree with Akufo-Addo on Nkrumah not being Ghana’s founder – Alex Abban

Former Gomoa West MP Alex Abban has expressed disagreement with President Nana Akufo-Addo's assertion that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is not the sole founder of Ghana.

During his 2024 Founders’ Day address, President Akufo-Addo emphasized that Ghana's founding was a collective effort.

While Abban agrees that many individuals contributed to the country’s independence, he believes Nkrumah still stands out as the key figure in Ghana's history.

Speaking on The Big Issue on Channel One TV, Abban acknowledged the contributions of others but maintained that Nkrumah’s role remains central in the nation’s founding narrative.
