A flagbearer hopeful of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kojo Bonsu, has dismissed reports suggesting he’s working for former President Mahama in the NDC race and likely to join the Mahama campaign at the at the long-run.

Editor-In-Chief of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, Ben Ephson, has said the new entrant to the NDC Presidential race, Kojo Bonsu is only gathering votes to shore up Mr Mahama’s bid for the flagbearership slot.

“I’m very sure he[Kojo Bonsu] will, in the end, say that he’s been around the country, spoken to the people and listened to them and feels Mahama is the choice of the people so he’s joining his campaign to that of the former President’s ticket. I suspect he’ll pull off a surprise and eventually join forces with Mahama,” the popular pollster told host Kweku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasaspa on Kasapa 102.5 FM Tuesday.

But reacting to the claims by the popular pollster, the former KMA Mayor said he’s focused on his campaign insisting he has all it takes to contest the position.

“That’s the opinion of Ben Ephson to think that way. He’s democratically free to share his views and perspective on issues but for me I’m very serious and focused on my campaign now. I’m going the direction based on what the people say and the research we have conducted so that the NDC supporters and the base of our party will be happy as I become the Flagbearer of our party.”

Former Mayor of Kumasi, Kojo Bonsu has officially joined the flagbearership race of the opposition National Democratic Congress.

He’d in a letter of intent addressed to the General Secretary of the NDC, said his versatile experience in entrepreneurship and corporate leadership can be harnessed by the party for victory in 2020.
