The Deputy Minister of Energy in charge of Petroleum, Dr Adam Mohammed Amin Anta has registered his preparedness to deliver the Karaga seat for the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He touted his credentials as someone who is capable of snatching the seat which for a number of terms has been held by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the elephant family in the 2020 polls if he emerges the party’s candidate.
We are determined that whoever emerges winner will win the seat, NDC should get ready we are going to come together after them by adding the seat to NPP. Their record in the constituency is abysmal, there’s no development record in the constituency despite occupying it for over 16 years and they want to add 4 more years?
“The people want development, they want relieve and the NPP Government will provide such relief and so we are ready to take Karaga seat to NPP come 2020 general elections,” he added.
Dr Adam Mohammed Amin Anta, however, pledged his unflinching support for any of the aspirant who emerges victorious at the primaries to ensure that the vision of the party which is to win the Karaga seat is realized.
He contests in the primary with three others including Dr Baba Sayuti, Mr Sulemana Ibn Saeed and Abdulai Alhassan.
Meanwhile, about 29 aspirants are battling for nine slots in the orphan constituencies in the Northern Region on the ticket of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2020 polls.
All 29 Aspiring Parliamentary hopefuls successfully submitted their nominations before the close of the two weeks process to their respective Constituency Election Committees and went through vetting.
