I received death threats during my tenure as EC Chair – Charlotte Osei

Charlotte Osei, former Chairperson of Ghana's Electoral Commission, has disclosed in a Joy FM interview that she faced numerous death threats and her children endured school abuse due to the hostile political climate during her tenure.

Despite these severe challenges, she received strong family support and chose to persevere.

Osei described her experience as unexpectedly harsh, marked by intense scrutiny and misinformation.

Nevertheless, she maintained a focus on her duties, asserting no regrets about her service and expressing pride in her accomplishments despite the difficulties faced.
