During a stakeholder engagement with the creative arts industry on October 16, 2024, New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia expressed empathy for Ghanaians, especially those in the informal sector.
Sharing his personal experiences as a former farm worker, taxi driver, and cleaner, he highlighted his understanding of the daily struggles faced by many.
Dr. Bawumia pledged that if elected, his administration would prioritize policies to uplift underprivileged citizens, emphasizing inclusive growth and equal opportunities.
He also mentioned his philanthropic work, including support for lepers and street children, reinforcing his commitment to helping those in need.
