Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, MP for Sefwi Wiawso, has expressed disappointment over being asked to leave the parliamentary chamber by Speaker Alban Bagbin, feeling his remarks were misunderstood.

The incident occurred during a discussion on new Supreme Court nominations, where Dr. Afriyie called the Speaker’s comments prejudicial.

Dr. Afriyie clarified on Joy FM that he intended no disrespect and was merely voicing his opinion.

He emphasized his respect for the Speaker by bowing while being ushered out.

Although he felt humiliated, Dr. Afriyie intends to move past the incident without further action.
