It’ll be bad omen to go into election with a defective voters register – Bossman Asare

The Deputy Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr. Bossman Asare, has stressed the importance of using an accurate voters register for the upcoming elections.

Speaking on JoyNews' Newsfile, he confirmed that all issues raised by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), including voter transfer anomalies, have been addressed.

However, the NDC's call for a re-exhibition of the register and a forensic audit has not been met.

Dr. Asare assured the public that the EC is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process.
