It’s not too late; learn from Ruto and reduce government size – Domelevo to Akufo-Addo

Former Auditor General Daniel Domelevo has called on President Akufo-Addo to implement substantial reforms to restore public confidence and prevent potential unrest similar to Kenya's situation.

Speaking at the 2024 Domelevo Accountability Lecture in Accra, Domelevo stressed the urgency of reducing the government's size amidst current hardships faced by Ghanaians.

He advised President Akufo-Addo to adopt measures like those of Kenya's President William Ruto to maintain stability and public trust.

Domelevo emphasized that proactive governance is crucial for addressing political and economic challenges and urged immediate action to calm public concerns.
