KT Hammond demands ‘Alhaji’ title after completing Hajj pilgrimage

Minister for Trade and Industry, K.T. Hammond, has demanded formal recognition of his new title "Alhaji" after completing the Hajj pilgrimage.

Speaking in Parliament, he questioned why his new title had not been officially announced and recorded, criticizing his parliamentary whip for the oversight.

Hammond directed the Clerk to Parliament to ensure his title was properly reflected in official records, emphasizing the need for accuracy.

The Hajj pilgrimage concluded recently, adding a new batch of Alhajis, including Hammond, who is also the MP for Adansi Asokwa.
