Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, has refuted claims by some NDC MPs that they contributed to the District Road Improvement Project (DRIP) equipment.
Speaking at the Awubia Festival in Awutu Bereku, Bawumia clarified that Parliament had no role in implementing the project.
He explained that the idea originated from a committee he chaired, which proposed purchasing equipment like excavators and graders for every district to improve roads.
Bawumia emphasized that the project was funded without parliamentary approval and urged people not to falsely claim credit for it.
