The Ministry of Health has urged calm over delays in clearing 120 containers of TB and malaria medicines at Tema port.
The Public Relations Officer, Isaac Offei Baah, expressed optimism that the Health Minister, Dr Bernard Okoe Boye, will resolve the issue.
Despite tax waivers, demurrages and third-party charges of GHS 7 million are pending, leaving 120 containers stuck.
However, 30 containers have been cleared, and the Ministry of Finance has shown commitment to addressing the issue.
The Ministry has also been in communication with the Global Fund, which has threatened to terminate support due to the delays.
