Mahama: Akufo-Addo afraid to hand over power, fears scrutiny over state capture

John Dramani Mahama, the NDC flagbearer, has accused President Akufo-Addo of avoiding a power handover out of fear of accountability for alleged state asset misappropriation, as detailed in the controversial “Agyapadie” document.

Mahama claims that Akufo-Addo is wary of being held responsible for his administration’s actions and suggests that the President prefers his Vice President to succeed him to shield his government.

Mahama has vowed that any NDC officials found guilty of corruption will face the same scrutiny and consequences as the outgoing NPP administration.
