Mahama: Police intimidation efforts have handed Awutu Senya East seat to NDC

John Dramani Mahama, NDC flagbearer, has criticized the police's arrest and detention of Awutu Senya East parliamentary aspirant Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, suggesting it was an attempt to intimidate her.

He condemned the NPP government for inequality and selective justice, contrasting Okunor's detention with MP Hawa Koomson's unpunished firearm discharge at a voter registration center.

Mahama asserted that this politically motivated arrest has instead bolstered Okunor's campaign, effectively securing her the parliamentary seat.
