The outspoken Deputy National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Hamilton Biney believes former President John Dramani Mahama is far better than current President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He observes that Mr Mahama has achieved a lot and deserves a second coming compared to what has been trumpeted and achieved by the Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.
Speaking in an interview with Kwame Tutu on ‘Anopa Nkomo’ on Accra based Kingdom FM 107.7, Chief Hamilton Biney, noted “Mahama is an experience and more matured than President Akufo-Addo in terms of politics. Mahama would have been better if he was in power”.
He mentioned among other things including infrastructure and pro-poor policies initiated by the Mahama administration.
As a result, he is urging the electorate to mandate him in the 2020 polls so he can continue from where he left off.
However, he stated that Ghanaians think President, Akufo-Addo, is corrupt, a significant drop in the perceived corruption rate in the country.
He said a redenominated Mahama is better than a hopeless Akufo-Addo who is only interested in having meetings outside the country and not resolving the myriad of problems facing the country.
According to him, Mahama’s decision to contest the 2020 elections is causing fear among the rank and file of the NPP.
Chief Biney added that the ‘incompetent’ tag on the NDC whilst in government has not changed with the Akufo-Addo-led NPP government.
