NDC flagbearer John Mahama has pledged to establish an office to oversee government procurement processes exceeding $5 million if elected.
He emphasized that procurement is a significant source of corruption and this office would enhance transparency and save government resources.
Mahama made these remarks at the first edition of Mahama Conversations on July 7, highlighting that increased accountability in procurement processes is crucial to eliminating corruption and ensuring the use of public finances is compliant with national laws and beneficial to citizens.
