MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has condemned attempts by private developers to evict civil servants from state lands and bungalows, particularly targeting a 10-acre property of the Department of Parks and Gardens.
Ablakwa decried this as "organized state capture" and announced his parliamentary faction's plan to file a motion for a public hearing to ensure accountability in the use of state assets.
Highlighting the environmental and historical significance of the Parks and Gardens land, Ablakwa emphasized the need to protect such assets.
The Department of Parks and Gardens, facing similar encroachments, has vowed to reclaim its lands and demolish unauthorized structures.
