The Minority in Parliament has boycotted the vetting of Herbert Krapah as Minister of State at the Energy Ministry, citing several concerns.

They objected to the nomination not being published in a national newspaper, which they argue denied the public the opportunity to submit memoranda or make representations to the Appointments Committee.

Additionally, they questioned the necessity of appointing a Minister of State alongside an existing substantive Minister.

The Minority views the process as an attempt to bypass due parliamentary process and perpetuate what they perceive as an overly large government.

Therefore, they have refused to participate in the vetting process.
