The Minority in Parliament has raised concerns over the government's decision to award a 5G licensing contract to NextGen InfraCo, a company established just a week before the contract's approval.
They criticised the deal for its lack of transparency and potential misuse of state resources, vowing to oppose it.
The NDC MPs emphasised the need for scrutiny and accountability, promising to further investigate the deal.
Meanwhile, Communications Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful defended the decision, stating that NextGen was specifically formed to manage the 5G rollout, as no existing infrastructure company had the capacity for this project.
