NAPO’s comment on Nkrumah not an insult, just a strong personal view – Fiifi Boafo

Fiifi Boafo, spokesperson for the NPP running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), has downplayed controversy over NAPO's comments comparing President Akufo-Addo's achievements to those of Ghana's first President, Kwame Nkrumah.

Boafo stated that NAPO did not intend to denigrate Nkrumah but expressed a personal view. NAPO’s remarks during his unveiling in the Ashanti Region sparked calls for an apology.

On Eyewitness News, Boafo urged critics to provide evidence to support or refute NAPO’s claims, emphasizing that NAPO believes the current government has performed well.

NAPO defended his comments, criticizing the tendency to label truth-tellers as disrespectful.
