The National Communications Director of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has rubbished reports that, the NDC has boycotted several media houses in the country, particularly in Accra.

Responding to the allege reports on Accra based okay Fm, Mr. Gyamfi noted that the NDC has a relationship with the media and recognizes its role in shaping the political discourse of the country and cannot severe that relationship.

He said, the reports which has been carried by various media outlets is the handiwork of the ruling New Patriotic Party, adding that, the NDC has not taken any such decision and has not issued any statement to that effect.

Mr. Gyamfi accused the NPP of been behind the fake reports and falls in tandem with the recently leaked audio recording which he has vehemently denied and described as fake and doctored.

"Where we have reached in our political discourse, we have gone past the era of dirty politics. We are politicking based on real issues in this country. We should be talking about the deprecation of the cedi and the high import duties at the ports and all that. Not such frivolous matters. I want to put it on record that we have not issued any statement that we have boycotted the media. It is the handiwork of the NPP and it must be treated with the contempt it deserves he added.
