The National Democratic Congress (NDC) leadership has summoned the Central regional chairman, Gabriel Commey, following the withdrawal of Assin Central parliamentary candidate, Nurein Shaibu Migyimah.
Commey, in a letter, withdrew Migyimah's candidacy after finding him guilty of immoral acts and anti-party activities.
The NDC national leadership considers the withdrawal letter inappropriate and against party procedures and constitutional articles 40, 41, 46, and 48.
Commey and the regional secretary must appear before the national leadership on July 2, 2024, to explain the unauthorized decision. The party emphasizes that such actions require National Executive Committee approval.
