NDC suspends Central regional chairman and Assin Central secretary

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended Central Regional Chairman Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu and Assin Central Secretary Sadique Broni Yeboah for one month due to anti-party conduct.

This follows allegations against Assin Central parliamentary candidate Nurein Shiabu Migyimah, accused of impregnating the wife of the party’s Assin Central General Secretary.

Despite a regional suspension, the NDC’s General Secretary Fifi Kwetey declared the withdrawal of Migyimah’s candidacy null and void, affirming his status as the parliamentary candidate for the December 2024 elections.
