“They were a number of about 15 people with 3 salon cars. When they got here, we thought they were just like observing. So they went to one of the aspirants their agent and they spoke to the person,” he told Ghana Web.
He added that some of the men proceeded to speak to some representatives of the Electoral Commission, demanding to look into the electoral album and they were given access. They then absconded with it.
“They were talking to them, so we were just standing somewhere looking at whatever is going on. So they demanded that they should give them the album for them to go through, for which the electoral commission, their people also obliged and gave it to them for them to check and so upon checking, all that we heard was ‘take it away, take it away’, so one of the guys took the album and entered into one of the salon vehicles, they all entered and just drove away,” he further explained.
He said the electoral album has been replaced by the party executives, and the Commander-In-Chief of police in the district was called to help investigate the matter.
“We were having security personnel over here so he called the commander-in-chief over the district, they came around and asked some questions. The military also came around, and they have also left. And the party executives also came around and they have replaced the register. Everything is moving smoothly now,” he concluded.
